Dan joined the Kern Group, a second generation Baird practice, as a Financial Advisor in 2006. He partnered with his father Ted Kern, who spent 28 years with Baird, before retiring in 2010. Prior to joining Baird, Dan worked as a Paraplanner for Ameriprise Financial in Green Bay, Wisconsin.
Dan holds a BS in Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. In addition, Dan completed the Certificate Program for Financial Planning at DePaul University. He has also earned the title, “Senior Investment Consultant”, a Baird program held at the University Of Chicago Graduate School Of Business, by completing a multiple day course of study focusing on the investment and retirement needs of clients. Dan is an active community leader as past president and Board Member of Slinger High School’s Honours Inc., volunteers in his Church and children's school, and coaches little league. He and his wife, Abby, live in Slinger and have two children, daughter, Michaela and son, Teddy. In addition to spending time with his family, Dan enjoys playing golf, hunting and fishing, cooking, and spending time “up north”.
